God
He shows us our way
He shows us the light
We choose to hear him
During the night
We listen to his words
We hear what He says
But what we choose to do
Can make us sway
Show us our path
Show us our way
Keep us strong Lord
During the day
Give us a blessing
Show us the light
That way we can say
We conquered the night.
I want some short people up in here.
I need more people to follow. :3
trying i guess ;P
today I realized something. You don’t have to be the smartest kid in class, the nicest, or even the best athlete in the world to do something and feel proud. Today, I worked out for about 3 and 1/2 hours. Not in a row, but all within 6 hours of each other. My abs are sore, my ankles hurt, and it rained. But you know what? I would do it all over again. It is the satisfaction of knowing you did something beyond what you normally did that makes it easier to face tomorrow. Gym class looks like a walk in the park. Sports are just one easier challenge. I might not meet my ugw or even lose x pounds that I want, but I feel damn good about getting out there, sweating, and feeling like shit because I got off my ass when others sat there. I know my limits. I try to exceed them from time to time, but most times I can’t. I still feel proud at night and can sit here and tell you that you can work out for an hour or even 15 minutes. It pays off in the end, and you will be proud. You will smile in your sleep because in those 15 minutes or hour or whatever, you did something that made you stronger. You can do it again, and it might be easier. As one of my coach’s said, “Every day is the easy way.” Don’t go to bed angry. Do something for yourself, even just 15 seconds of planking. Its 15 crunches without as much work.
